ABOUT TOURNAMENTS
Gothia Cup. Gothia Cup is the world’s largest and most international youth football tournament. Each year, around 1700 teams from 80 nations take part and they play 4500 games on 110 fields. It’s the teams, and participants from around the world that make the tournament unique. A meeting place for the world’s youth, irrespective of religion, skin color or nationality, with football as the common denominator. Our organization consists of eight full-time employed staff and during the tournament works more than 2 500 people. Gothia Cup was first held in 1975. The tournament was started by the football associations BK Häcken, GAIS and a local newspaper but has been owned since the early 80’s entirely and solely by BK Häcken. Through the years, almost a million players from a total of 146 countries have participated in the tournament.
Cup No. 1 Cup No.1 is a youth soccer tournament for both boys and girls. It has been held in Frederikshavn, Denmark since 1984 under the name Dana Cup No.1. Almost 8.200 teams from 100 nations have joined our tournament through the years. All matches are played on nice green soccer fields of international standard in Frederikshavn. We are proud to say that all fields are in the same area, so your team/s do not have to spend a lot of time on transportation. This gives you time to enjoy both the tournament but also the City of Frederikshavn. The tournament is held week 28 every year. The city Frederikshavn is situated on the coast, and we are proud to say that we have one of Denmark‘s nicest beaches.
Bethesda Premier Cup. The 2018 Bethesda Premier Cup is one of the top competitive youth soccer tournaments in the country. With over 1,200 of the top clubs in the country participating (80% from the Mid-Atlantic region), this is a “must” participate event for top teams and college recruiters. For two weekends in November, BSC hosts about 18,000 boys and girls ranging in age from 9 to 18; about 3,500 officials, including coaches, managers, referees and tournament volunteers; and at least 36,000 parents, plus siblings and other relatives, friends and fans who attend as spectators.
Annandale Premier Cup. The Toughest Tournament in America. Annandale Premier Cup Boys Weekend is held every year during early March. The APC Girls Spring Showcase is held every year during the first weekend in March.
Tottenham Hotspur America Trophy. The Tottenham Hotspur America Trophy will be held at Covenant Park on December 7-8, 2013. This event will include a coaching clinic lead by the Tottenham Hotspur Technical Staff and 2 day tournament. During the tournament the Tottenham Techincal Staff will be monitoring games and selecting 16 players to take part in a 5 Day UK Player Development Residential Programme. All expenses, except airfare, are covered by Tottenham Hotspur Football Development.
SAC Columbia Fall Classic. Boys and Girls U9 - U19. The Columbia Fall Classic is open to all competitive and classic club teams. All teams must be affiliated and their players registered with USYS through their respective state associations, US Club Soccer, SAY or AYSO.
SAC United Premier Columbus Day Tournament. Boys and Girls U9 - U19. The SAC Columbus Day Tournament is open to all competitive and classic club teams. This is a US Club. All teams must be affiliated and their players registered with USYSA through their respective state associations, US Club Soccer, SAY or AYSO. The tournament is also open to any international teams in the CONCACAF region.
OBGC Capital Cup Labor Day Tournament. Rated one of the top Labor Day Tournament in Region I, the OBGC Capital Cup teams play at some of the most spectacular soccer complexes in the country. Freeman Fields at OBGC Park and Lucido Fields at Covenant Park, will host most of the event this year, as well as other fields around the Olney Area for the three day event held September 2-4, 2017. (Local teams may play Friday Night).
Kickoff Classic Festival Labor Day Tournament. The MSI Kickoff Classic will be played each year on the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend. It takes place at the Potomac Polo Grounds in Poolesville. The "Festival Format" provides an opportunity for ALL teams to play six “mini-games” (25-minutes each) against six different opponents over two days! Three mini-games will be played on Saturday, and three on Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. The emphasis is on providing a festive, low-pressure environment that provides a fantastic opportunity to focus on fun and prep for the fall season.
SAC Columbia Invitational Memorial Day Tournament. Boys and Girls U9 - U19. The Columbia Invitational is open to all competitive and classic club teams. This is a US Club and USYS Sanctioned tournament. All teams must be affiliated and their players registered with USYSA through their respective state associations or US Club Soccer.
Potomac Memorial Tournament Ranked Top 10 in the Nation Boys U9 - U19 Soccer College Showcase Tournament Memorial Day Weekend.
Mid-Atlantic Cup. Played at one of the nation's finest soccer complexes, the Mid-Atlantic Cup welcomes recreational, classic/select, and travel level clubs to participate. Experience the joys of playing against fun and quality competition on some of the nicest fields in the country at the prestigious Maryland SoccerPlex.
MSI Cherry Blossom Classic. The MSI Cherry Blossom Classic Tournament will include U9-U19 boys AND girls teams, and all are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Every game of the tournament will be played on the superior quality fields of the Maryland Soccerplex. This event is sanctioned by both US Club Soccer and USYS.
